Compensation Analyst

LHH is seeking an Interim Compensation Analyst to join our client in NYC. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Compensation and HR team by analyzing, designing, and administering compensation programs. This temporary position requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of compensation structures, market trends, and compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and be able to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment. This role will compensate between $45-$50/hr, contingent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Analysis: Analyze and evaluate job positions, determining classification, and ensuring competitive pay structures.

  • Market Benchmarking: Conduct salary surveys and market pricing to compare compensation levels and provide recommendations.

  • Job Descriptions: Review, update, and create job descriptions to ensure clarity in role expectations and alignment with compensation strategies.

  • Data Management: Maintain compensation data and ensure accuracy in the HRIS system, including pay grades and salary bands.

  • Compliance: Ensure compensation programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including FLSA and EEO guidelines.

  • Pay Equity: Assist in conducting pay equity analyses to ensure fair and consistent compensation practices across the organization.

  • Reporting: Prepare reports and analyses to provide insights on compensation trends, employee pay, and budgeting.

  • Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and management teams to provide compensation advice and resolve related inquiries.

  • Compensation Projects: Support the implementation and administration of special compensation programs, such as bonuses and merit increases.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis, HR, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, HRIS systems, and compensation analysis tools. Experience with SAP, Workday, or other relevant systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of compensation practices, labor laws, and regulations.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work with large data sets.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex compensation data to non-experts.



Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
