About the Company

A well-established and growing premium consumer goods company is seeking a Controller to lead its finance function. The company specializes in high-end oral care products and has a strong retail and e-commerce presence. This is a confidential replacement for a key leadership role, reporting directly to the executive team.


Team Structure

  • Standalone Controller role
  • Support from 1 Accounts Receivable Specialist and 1 Data Entry Administrator (NetSuite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete the ongoing NetSuite ERP implementation
  • Manage monthly and annual financial close for three entities
  • Oversee cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting and third-party warehouse operations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and reporting
  • Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership
  • Support payroll and benefits administration (PEO experience is a plus)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • Proven experience in a standalone or small-team Controller role
  • Strong background in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel
  • Experience with third-party logistics and COGS accounting
  • PEO experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and wear many hats
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence

Soft Skills

  • Mature, self-directed, and dependable (“an adult in the room”)
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • Collaborative and hands-on approach
