LHH is currently seeking a Development Coordinator for a mission driven organization in Manhattan. This role is responsible for supporting the Development Director in all fundraising initiatives. This role involves managing donor databases, coordinating fundraising events, and developing strategies to enhance donor relations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Raiser’s Edge and a passion for the mission of our organization. This position is hybrid and on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring accuracy and integrity of donor information.

  • Generate reports and donor lists for development activities and board meetings.

  • Conduct donor research and prospect identification.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.

  • Coordinate logistics for events, including invitations, RSVPs, vendor arrangements, and on-site support.

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain donors.

  • Prepare and send acknowledgment letters, receipts, and other donor communications.

  • Respond to donor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

  • Assist in preparing development materials, including newsletters, brochures, and annual reports.

  • Manage development calendar and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Support Development Director in other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fundraising role within a non-profit organization.

  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge is required.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • 9:00am-5:00pm
