Hybrid 3 days a week in the office

Summary: The Director of Government Contracts will oversee the billing, budget, and financial analysis functions. They will maintain financial oversight of a grant portfolio of approximately $115M, funded by state and city governments, private foundations, and individual donations. The Director will work as part of a team to strengthen the organization’s relationships with funding sources and supervise the Financial Analysis and Billing teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Seven years of relevant billing, budget, and financial analysis experience, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and word processing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Supervisory Role: This position includes supervisory responsibilities.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Controller to oversee billing, budget, audit, financial forecasting, reporting, and administrative functions of all contracts.
  • Review, present, and provide recommendations on financial information to senior management.
  • Set goals and objectives regarding fiscal procedures that align with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Prepare and present weekly cash flow projections.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain internal controls for revenue and expenditure reporting.
  • Ensure timely production, review, and analysis of monthly financial statements.
  • Review allocation methodologies and time studies.
  • Supervise direct reports to ensure accurate and timely vouchering, budgeting, and financial analysis of all contracts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of CFR reporting and related supporting schedules.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Expected Results of Principal Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely billing, budget, audit, financial forecasting, and reporting.
  • Clear and sufficient recommendations for financial and budget variances.
  • Compliance with the agency’s strategic plan.
  • Sufficient and maximized cash flow.
  • Compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Accurate information shared with stakeholders.
  • Compliance with government funder, agency, and best practice standards.
  • Timely and appropriate utilization of awarded funding levels.
  • Accurate and timely external reporting.
  • Complete, timely, and accurate performance of related duties.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment performing administrative work.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular visual acuity, talking, and hearing while communicating with peers and vendors.
  • Sedentary position requiring sitting for long periods.
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving items up to 20 pounds.



Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
