Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full spectrum of human resources functions at a fast-paced investment bank in Manhattan. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a high-performance environment and is comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and leave administration.
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, escalating complex issues to senior HR leadership as needed.
Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
Maintain HRIS data integrity (JustWorks or similar platforms preferred) and generate compliance and workforce reports.
Support recruitment efforts for mid-level and back-office roles, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
Coordinate performance management processes, training sessions, and engagement initiatives.
Draft and distribute internal HR communications and policy updates.
Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files and documentation.
Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate compensation and benefits processing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in financial services or professional services.
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of discretion.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and performance bonus.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
