Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full spectrum of human resources functions at a fast-paced investment bank in Manhattan. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a high-performance environment and is comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and leave administration.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, escalating complex issues to senior HR leadership as needed.

  • Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity (JustWorks or similar platforms preferred) and generate compliance and workforce reports.

  • Support recruitment efforts for mid-level and back-office roles, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.

  • Coordinate performance management processes, training sessions, and engagement initiatives.

  • Draft and distribute internal HR communications and policy updates.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files and documentation.

  • Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate compensation and benefits processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in financial services or professional services.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of discretion.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

  • Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and performance bonus.



Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
