Position: Interim Accounting Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a national non-profit organization to fill an Interim Accounting Manager position located in downtown, Manhattan. This role will be temporary as it is filling in for an extended maternity leave (Approx 5-6 months). Responsibilities:
Review and manage the work of four Accounting professionals (2 AP, 1 Jr Accountant, 1 Staff Accountant)
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and investment accounts
Ensure accurate revenue recognition for grants, donations, and miscellaneous income
Oversee the month end close and financial reporting process
Reviewing internal processes and offering suggestions for improvement to CFO
Supporting the Finance team in budgeting/forecasting process for offered programs
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience managing a team
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
Schedule:
9 - 5 PM (35 hour work week)
T, W, TH in office (M, F remote) in Downtown, Manhattan
