HR Project Manager – Transformation Program Support
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to join our client's team and support a business transformation program in the US and Canada. The HR Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HR-related tasks across various workstreams. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices, change management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position will report to the US HR Leader. This is a full-time contract role.
Location: New York, NY 10036 or Chicago, IL 60606
Hybrid: 3 days a week in office (varies based on project needs) – 100% Remote for the right candidate!
Compensation: $70.00 - $76.00 per hour based on experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Create and manage HR project plans for each workstream.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Act as the primary point of contact for the Operations project leads and follow up with appropriate HR partners as required.
Support data management, including tracking headcount changes and partnering with finance leads on business cases.
Coordinate across business stakeholders (e.g., Communications, Operations, Training, Business Leads) and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, HR People Partners, and HR Managers to deliver on the program.
Own program materials and library with content like role descriptions, assessment tools, onboarding and dual run plans, and training plans.
Partner with Operations project leads, Business Leads, and Communication Lead on change management efforts, ensuring effective communication and engagement with stakeholders throughout the organization.
Provide regular updates to the HR Leader on progress and outcomes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback and recommending best practices.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of project management experience, ideally managing large-scale HR and business programs.
Highly organized and able to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain and respect confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
Equal comfort with hands-on execution and strategy development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Disciplined, plan-based approach focused on flawless execution and always meeting deadlines.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish rapport, collaborate with diverse personalities, and influence others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s a plus / Project Management certificate a plus
Change management and change communications expertise, helping colleagues navigate transitions and maintaining engagement and morale during change.
Software and Skills Needed:
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
Excellent communication and presentation skills / Ability to leverage AI and automation tools for process improvement.
Pay Details: $70.00 to $76.00 per hour
