Staff Accountant, Contract, Hybrid – Midtown Manhattan

LHH is partnering with a leading company in the retail industry to support them on a contract basis in hiring a Staff Accountant. This hybrid role is based in a centrally located Midtown Manhattan office and offers a collaborative, fast-paced work environment. Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with the preparation and distribution of financial reports

· Support regular accounting processes, including reconciliations and data validations

· Ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting

· Respond to internal and external requests for financial information

· Contribute to audit preparation and related documentation

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred

· Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus

· Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

$30-35/hr
