Position: Supply Chain Specialist
Salary: Around $65k-75k
Location: Manhattan, NY
Schedule: M-F 9-5pm, FOUR DAYS ONSITE - Friday WFH

Position: Supply Chain Specialist
In this pivotal role, you'll support the coordination of logistics, procurement, inventory, and third-party logistics (3PL) functions. Your work will directly contribute to improving operational efficiency, ensuring consistent and on-time deliveries, and enhancing supplier and partner performance.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
Assist in selecting reliable freight and last-mile delivery partners to achieve timely and cost-efficient transportation.
Work alongside senior team members to support rate negotiations and define clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with logistics vendors.
Monitor and coordinate product movement to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and punctual delivery.
Handle scheduling, tracking, and communication with carriers to support seamless inbound and outbound shipments.
Prepare shipping documents such as labels and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
Act as a liaison to troubleshoot delivery issues and maintain clear communication with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Review freight invoices, verify billing accuracy, and follow up on any discrepancies.
Generate and analyze shipping and logistics reports to identify areas for cost savings and service enhancements.
Procurement & Inventory
Support supplier identification and material sourcing activities based on operational requirements.
Help manage the procurement lifecycle by initiating quote requests, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery progress.
Maintain procurement records, including pricing, vendor contacts, and purchase history.
Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts or delays.
Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any order-related issues.
Support ongoing evaluations of supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and reliability.
Assist in reconciling purchasing or delivery inconsistencies in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
Maintain internal databases and procurement tools to support purchasing transparency and efficiency.
Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Oversight
Serve as the go-to contact for day-to-day operational matters involving 3PL providers.
Investigate and resolve customer service issues and logistical discrepancies with external logistics partners.
Facilitate coordination between vendors, internal teams, and logistics providers to ensure steady material and product flow.
Monitor and assess the performance of 3PL services and recommend improvements based on operational insights.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
1–3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
Knowledge of logistics systems and experience with inventory or supply chain management software.
Effective negotiation skills and experience dealing with external vendors and transportation providers.
Strong analytical thinking with an eye for detail and problem resolution.
Clear and professional communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt in a dynamic, fast-moving work environment.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and familiar with digital procurement or logistics platforms.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
