Job Title: Compensation Analyst

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid after training) 2 days home

Contract Duration: 18+ months

Work Schedule: Must be in the office on Wednesdays

Industry: Open to all industries

Key Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and V Lookups

  • Ability to collaborate with HR Business Partners

  • Benchmarking salaries is key to this role

  • HRIS background is ideal

Job Summary: The Compensation Analyst will conduct analysis and interpret external data related to the client’s programs and practices. The incumbent will build effective relationships with other team members within Human Resources and across the Client. The incumbent ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Document all contacts and outcomes utilizing the service management software

  • Utilize knowledge base information to answer internal and external inquiries

  • Create and maintain job descriptions, establish new jobs within the structured job framework

  • Provide actionable market data and insights to the HRBP’s & Talent Team and make informed recommendations based on market outcomes

  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex matters to higher-level Compensation team members

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in compensation

  • Strong understanding of market analysis and trends, salary surveys, and job structure creation

  • Proven ability to provide market data and make strategic recommendations for new hires, promotions, and salary adjustments

  • Solid analytical thinking skills and attention to detail

  • Mastery skills in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel

  • Experience with Banner and ServiceNow is a plus

Pay Details: $35.00 to $43.00 per hour
