Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

As a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our client’s company. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the front desk, handling administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service to our clients and visitors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Northbrook, IL.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all guests are warmly received and directed to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage incoming calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Monitor and order office supplies to ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and conference room bookings.
  • Provide support with data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Assist with various office tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Address inquiries and provide information to clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the front desk and reception area are tidy and presentable at all times.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary will be a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Customer service orientation: Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor.
  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Pay is $20-$25 an hour, depending on experience
