Benefits Analyst position-West San Fernando Valley
In this role, the Benefits Analyst will work closely with vendors, brokers, and internal teams to administer plans efficiently and effectively, responding to employee inquiries, preparing reports for management, and helping guide strategic benefits decisions

Location: West San Fernando Valley


Pay: $30-$40 DOE


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze Benefits Programs: Evaluate a broad range of employee benefit programs—including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other ancillary offerings to assess their competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.

  • Ensure all programs remain compliant with federal and state regulations.

  • Data Compilation and Interpretation: Compile, review, and interpret data on benefit plan utilization, employee satisfaction, industry trends, and regulatory benchmarks. Use this data to provide actionable recommendations for plan enhancements or modifications.

  • Collaboration with Vendors and Stakeholders: Coordinate with external vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to implement plan changes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the highest standards of service are consistently met.

  • Manage ongoing vendor relationships and support contract negotiations as needed.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, presentations, and cost analyses to facilitate management review and strategic decision-making. Develop clear visualizations and executive summaries to communicate findings effectively to a variety of audiences.

  • Annual Renewals and Open Enrollment: Support annual benefit plan renewals and open enrollment periods by assisting with the preparation of materials, planning logistics, and execution. Ensure timely and accurate communication of plan changes to all employees.

  • Employee and Client Support: Respond promptly and accurately to employee and client inquiries regarding benefits plans, coverage details, and claims processes. Resolving issues in a way that prioritizes employee satisfaction and reinforces company value.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in employee benefits administration

  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrated experience interpreting and analyzing complex data sets. Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and data visualization tools.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state regulations covering employee benefits, such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex benefits topics to a diverse audience.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners. Strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
