Benefits Specialist position-West San Fernando Valley

Location: West San Fernando Valley
Pay: $30-$40 DOE
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration: Process enrollment, changes, and terminations for group health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and ancillary programs.
Employee Support: Serve as the primary resource for employees with questions about benefits plans, eligibility, coverage, claims, and wellness initiatives.
Compliance: Ensure all benefits programs are administered in accordance with federal, state, and local laws (COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, etc.). Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary documentation.
Education & Communication: Develop and conduct benefit orientations, open enrollment sessions, and information campaigns. Prepare clear, concise materials for employees at all levels.
Vendor Relations: Liaise with insurance carriers, brokers, and other third-party vendors to resolve issues and ensure the best possible service for clients.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate benefits reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for plan enhancements or cost savings.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to keep our programs competitive and compliant.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years experience in employee benefits administration
Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, Cal-COBRA, etc.)
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, HRIS and benefits administration systems
Analytical mindset and a problem-solving attitude
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
