Position Summary
Our client, a non-profit in Northridge CA., is looking to hire a Grant Accountant. The Grant Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants and contracts, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and audit support. This role is essential in ensuring that all grant funds are properly tracked and utilized in accordance with funder requirements and organizational policies.
The annual salary for this role will be $75,000.00-$88,000.00
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for all grants and contracts.
Prepare and submit timely financial reports to funders.
Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance.
Assist with grant proposal budgets and financial narratives.
Coordinate with program staff to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
Support annual audits and grant-specific audits.
Reconcile grant-related general ledger accounts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grant regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, with a focus on grants.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $88,000.00 per year
