LHH is partnering with a client in the Fairfield County area for a Staff Accountant. The role will be responsible for producing monthly financial statements, preparing monthly closings for separate consolidating entities, and reviewing monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure both systems have properly transferred to the general ledger. This position is on-site in the office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of the month end close

• Verify expenses for different asset categories

• Prepare journal entries and financial statement reports

• Assess, document, and record the accounting impact of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP

• Prepare the monthly cash flow analysis

• Ad hoc projects and reporting

What we look for:

• 1-3 years of experience within a corporate environment

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field

• Positive attitude

• Team player

• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

• Strong EXCEL
