Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Type: Direct Hire, In Office

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration OR CPA certification (required)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
• Proven experience in managing a team
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with financial reporting and financial software systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
