Benefits Specialist

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration and management of the company's employee benefit programs. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with benefit regulations, and contributing to the overall well-being of employees. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of employee benefits. This is a Contract position located near Oak Brook, IL.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability insurance, and life insurance.
  • Conduct benefits enrollment and re-enrollment processes, including open enrollment periods.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to employees regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and coverage.
  • Resolve employee inquiries and issues related to benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records.
  • Conduct benefits audits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Analyze benefit plan performance and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new benefit programs.
  • Participate in employee communication and education initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and disability insurance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefit administration software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Pay is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience
