Accountant

Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

Are you an accounting professional looking to expand your accounting skill set with a friendly team? Do you have at least two years of accounting experience and experience handling accounting responsibilities with sales tax? This would be a contract role and be perfect for someone with at least two years of accounting experience supporting with reconciliations, accounts payable, and sales and use tax. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports

• Manage general ledger entries and reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation

• Process accounts payable and receivable

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends or discrepancies

• Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2+ years of accounting experience

• Experience with sales and use tax is a huge plus

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
