Job Posting: Administrative Assistant (Contract Position)

Location: Oakland, Ca
Schedule: Every other Friday off
Pay: $28 per hour
Contract Length: Up to six months

Are you a detail-oriented, organized, and professional individual looking for an exciting contract opportunity? We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role offers a dynamic work schedule with every other Friday off and competitive pay.

Essential Functions:

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of the assigned department. Specific duties may vary, but your responsibilities will include:

  • Communication Support:

    • Answer and direct phone calls, voice mail, and emails.

    • Greet visitors, clients, and staff professionally.

    • Respond to general inquiries and provide information on programs and related referral services.

    • Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain and update filing systems, including confidential files.

    • Set up new files and handle document retrieval and filing.

    • Type correspondence, reports, memos, forms, and related materials with accuracy and adherence to departmental procedures.

  • Data Management:

    • Input, update, and retrieve data using spreadsheets and computer databases.

    • Generate reports and maintain accurate records.

  • Office Equipment Operation:

    • Operate standard office equipment, including personal computers, typewriters, phones, fax machines, calculators, copiers, scanners, and other department-specific equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Adaptability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.



Pay Details: $27.00 to $28.00 per hour
