Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

• Oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Lead or support the implementation of new accounting systems, tools, or process improvements.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and external vendors during system implementations.

• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within accounting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including GL and payroll.

• Proven experience with accounting or ERP system implementations

• Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll regulations.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
