Job Title: Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant
Location: Ocala, FL 34478 (100% Onsite)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $53,000

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant to join our non-profit organization in Ocala, FL. This is a 100% onsite, contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have experience with grants and possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the organization's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and track grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits.
- Provide support for the annual budgeting process and financial planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Experience with grants management and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
