LHH is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is responsible for overseeing the research, planning, and design of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer directs and coordinates activities related to fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair, ensuring all products meet performance, quality, and cost expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and implementation of engineering strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals.

  • Uses metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement, monitor business growth, enhance decision-making, and enforce accountability.

  • Understands and manages financial metrics including profit/loss, return on investment (ROI), and budgeting.

  • Analyzes customer design proposals, military and commercial specifications, and repair manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

  • Designs mechanical systems and products including heat transfer equipment, aircraft exhaust components, tooling, and testing equipment.

  • Develops manufacturing plans and Bills of Material (BOM) using manufacturing software.

  • Coordinates product fabrication and installation activities to ensure adherence to engineering designs and customer specifications.

  • Collaborates with operations, maintenance, and repair teams to optimize equipment and machine utilization.

  • Designs integrated systems involving machines, hardware, and software components.

  • Conducts field evaluations and recommends design modifications to resolve system malfunctions.

  • Acts as a liaison between engineering and internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.

  • Travels as needed to customer sites, other divisions, and technical conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, machine design, process development, value engineering, or product engineering.

  • Proficient in 3D modeling and drafting.

  • Strong knowledge of precision tools, measuring equipment, and GD&T principles.

  • Proven project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
