Job Title: Medical Benefits Supervisor
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Supervisor to join our client’s benefits department. The role involves overseeing the medical claims process, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing exceptional customer service. This role will have 10-15 direct reports. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in the medical claims field, with a preference for those with experience in supplemental medical claims such as cancer, accident, or critical illness policies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and manage the daily operations of the benefits department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of medical claims.
· Provide guidance and support to Benefit Adjusters, ensuring they deliver excellent customer service when speaking with customers regarding their claims.
· Review and approve claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
· Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process.
· Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to claims.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of benefits processes.
· Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the medical claims field.
· Strong knowledge of medical claims processes and regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with supplemental medical claims such as cancer, accident, or critical illness policies.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Great customer service skills, with the ability to handle escalated inquiries effectively.
