LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing biotech company in the Oklahoma City, OK area to fill a Staff Accountant position!

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger and prepare various financial documents to ensure the effective and efficient running of the company. This role involves preparing daily and cyclical highly time-sensitive and detailed reports from multiple departments and contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Prepare daily and cyclical time-sensitive reports.

  • Oversee daily bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly departmental and financial reports, including the General Ledger, Standard and Adjusting Journal Entries.

  • Maintain accuracy of fixed asset accounting.

  • Assist senior department personnel with quarterly and annual budget development and performance projections.

  • Track and verify multiple project completion reports.

  • Review weekly unpaid bills report to ensure accurate coding, classification, and completeness.

  • Interact with accounting personnel to complete monthly closing processes.

  • Prepare the company’s tax forms, including but not limited to Usage Tax, 1099s, Property Taxes, and Franchise Tax.

  • Participate daily in accounting operations.

  • Experience with General Ledger and Financial Statements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Excellent time management.

  • Collaboration proficiency.

  • Digital literacy, particularly with MS Office applications.

  • High detail and analytical proficiency.

  • Bookkeeping knowledge and strong understanding of GAAP.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Technical expertise in industry and federal regulations.
