Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in Bethpage, NY. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in procurement with 2-5 years of experience, a strong skillset in Microsoft Office, and a working knowledge of ERP systems. This role requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Procurement Operations:** Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
- **ERP Utilization:** Utilize ERP systems to track and manage procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory and order management.
- **Vendor Management:** Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services while negotiating favorable terms.
- **Reporting & Analysis:** Prepare and analyze procurement reports, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- **Compliance:** Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- **Communication:** Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- **Team Collaboration:** Collaborate with team members and other departments to streamline procurement processes and support organizational goals.
Requirements:
- **Experience:** 2-5 years of experience in a procurement role or similar position.
- **ERP Experience:** Proficient in using ERP systems to manage procurement activities.
- **MS Office Skills:** Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Teamwork & Independence:** Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- **Attention to Detail:** Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
