Accounting Admin Assistant LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Accounting Admin Assistant in the Orlando, FL area. Our client is looking to bring on an Accounting Assistant to support a standard office structure. This role will be in a fast-paced environment with team and independent projects or tasks. This position is a standard, full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform data entry tasks, including the input of financial transactions into the accounting system.


  • Prepare files and assist in monthly bank reconciliations process


  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts receivable/payable.


  • Responsible for annual 1099 reporting including necessary adjustments


  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries.


  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.


  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.


  • Support Senior Treasury Specialist in maintaining all bank relationships and acting as a liaison between the Firm and the banks


  • Provide support for audits and other financial assessments.


  • Handle annual filings for Unclaimed Property


  • Assist in maintaining organized and accurate financial records.


  • Provides backup for daily cash receipts uploads and postings


  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


  • Special Projects including assisting in Firm’s annual audit


Qualifications:



  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.


  • Previous experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position is advantageous.


  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.


  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.


  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices



Compensation: $18- $20/hr
