LHH is partnering with a reputable law firm in Orlando, FL, seeking a Legal Assistant with 1–2 years of experience in insurance defense. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for candidates eager to grow within a supportive and fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence

  • Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically

  • Schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances

  • Manage attorney calendars and deadlines

  • File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with local rules

  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience as a legal assistant, specifically in insurance defense

  • Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal management software

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Contract-to-Hire Details:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday

  • Competitive hourly pay during contract period

  • Opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on performance
