Overview: LHH is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our client's dynamic legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, from pre-filing through discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of litigation procedures, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing caseloads, ensuring deadlines and key milestones are met throughout all phases of litigation. Prepare, draft, and organize legal documents, including complaints, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and deposition summaries. Review and analyze documents for relevance and completeness.

  • Manage the discovery process, including preparation of discovery requests, responses, and documents for production. Assist in preparing and organizing documents for depositions, hearings, and trials.

  • Prepare and file court documents, including electronic filing (e-filing) with local, state, and federal courts. Ensure all documents are properly formatted and filed within court deadlines.

  • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law as directed by attorneys. Analyze and summarize findings for incorporation into legal arguments.

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials. Attend trials as needed to assist attorneys during proceedings.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, experts, and opposing counsel. Prepare client correspondence and keep clients informed about the progress of their cases.

  • Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files. Ensure files are up-to-date and compliant with the firm???s document retention policies.

  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and assisting with billing and timekeeping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within insurance defense

  • Familiarity with the litigation lifecycle, including pre-litigation investigation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.

  • Proficiency with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), case management software (e.g., Relativity, Clio), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong ability to handle complex documents and tasks with a high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and opposing counsel.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other paralegals in a team-oriented setting.

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire

  • Compensation: up to $70,000 annually

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
