Purchasing Coordinator- Gardner, KS

LHH is partnering with a client in the Manufacturing industry near the Gardner, KS area who is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator. This position will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within the manufacturing process, ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to understand their material needs and provide support.
  • Analyze and forecast material requirements based on production plans and customer demand.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track material usage and optimize inventory levels.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to material orders, deliveries, or invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Materials Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation: $55-60,000 annually
Job Type: Contract to hire/Direct hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm- fully onsite

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
