Claims Specialist | Overland Park, KS


LHH is partnering with a client that is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join the Claims Department. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers filing claims, providing support, guidance, and timely updates throughout the claims process. Your ability to communicate clearly and empathetically will be key to ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

· Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat regarding claims status, procedures, and documentation

· Guide customers through the claims process, ensuring all required information is collected and accurately recorded

· Review and verify claim information for completeness and accuracy

· Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., adjusters, underwriting, legal) to resolve claims efficiently

· Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions in the claims management system

· Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate team members or supervisors

· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and privacy standards

· Provide feedback to improve claims processes and customer satisfaction


Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

· 1–2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in insurance or claims

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

· Proficiency in using CRM or claims management software

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, fully onsite

· Compensation: $20-22ph.

· Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
