LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a global manufacturing company in Kansas City to find an experienced and technically proficient Operations Manager to lead and oversee the manufacturing operations. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing all operational activities to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the facility. Your in-depth expertise will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality production standards while driving continuous improvement and cost-effective practices.
Responsibilities:
Utilize your extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Provide guidance to production teams to ensure optimal machine setups and material handling.
Plan, organize, and manage daily production schedules to meet customer demands and achieve production targets. Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce scrap rates.
Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry and company standards. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to address any quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives within the manufacturing process. Lead continuous improvement projects and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.
Enforce a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a safe working environment. Ensure that all employees are properly trained in safety protocols.
Lead and mentor a diverse team of production supervisors, operators, technicians, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and cohesive work environment to maximize employee engagement and development.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished products. Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while avoiding stockouts and excess inventory.
Work closely with finance and accounting teams to develop and manage the manufacturing budget. Monitor production expenses and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality.
Ensure that the manufacturing plant complies with all relevant industry, environmental, and safety regulations. Stay updated on changes to regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
Generate regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the management team. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field.
Previous experience in a management or leadership role within a manufacturing plant.
Proficiency in using data analysis tools to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of implementing process improvements.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to manufacturing operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
