Accounting & Finance
Contract to hire 100% Onsite Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record daily cash receipts, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of cash receipts to customer accounts in the accounting system.
- Reconcile cash receipts to the bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of cash transactions, including documentation of deposits and adjustments.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to address and resolve any discrepancies related to cash applications.
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports for management review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to cash receipts.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for cash transactions.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cash receipt processing.
- Provide support and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries related to cash receipts and account balances.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on cash receipts or related areas.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash management practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
