Job Title: Commercial Property Accountant

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (100% Onsite)

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Property Accountant to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property accounting, with specific experience in CAM reconciliation and working within the General Ledger (GL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • CAM Reconciliation: Perform Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease agreements.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and manage the General Ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for commercial properties.
  • Lease Administration: Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective property management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in CAM reconciliation and General Ledger accounting.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Attributes:
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
