Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Property Accountant to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property accounting, with specific experience in CAM reconciliation and working within the General Ledger (GL).
Key Responsibilities:
- CAM Reconciliation: Perform Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease agreements.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and manage the General Ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for commercial properties.
- Lease Administration: Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective property management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAM reconciliation and General Ledger accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
