Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home - Mondays and Fridays)

Pay Rate: $22-$24 per hour

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and trainable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with little accounts payable experience but a strong willingness to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, primarily related to freight, and will work with our operations in both Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage invoices, with a focus on freight.

• Utilize Sage for accounting tasks.

• Perform data analysis using Excel, including creating and managing Pivot Tables.

• Collaborate with team members and cross-train in various functions.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely payments.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Excel, particularly with Pivot Tables.

• Familiarity with Sage is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
