Project Manager
Engineering & Construction
The primary responsibility is to manage a project by leading the planning and the development of all project deliverables. The project manager is responsible for managing the budget and work plan and all project management procedures. Experience in Heavy Civil Construction and Wasterwater is a must!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:
Responsible for overall job safety as per the safety manual for the particular job.
Responsible for contacting utility services for mark out, including periodic refreshing of mark out.
Ensure that test holes are dug where required.
Report any damage to utility lines to the appropriate supervisor.
Ensure that the jobsite meets all safety standards including cleanliness.
Ensure that everyone on the site is following all safety protocols.
Payments:
Perform daily quantity review.
Actively participate in monthly review of estimates and pending submissions for payment.
Report all extra work or non-contract work to your area manager.
Process all estimates on a timely basis.
Payroll and Equipment Reports:
Ensure the accuracy of payroll and equipment information.
Submit daily time sheets each and every workday.
Responsible for maintaining petty cash.
Responsible for obtaining and preparing monthly cost estimate/forecast.
Scheduling:
Control all material deliveries, production schedule, and long lead-time items.
Coordinate all work with subcontractors.
Coordinate all utility requirements with providers.
Schedule labor and equipment with dispatcher each day by 1:00 PM for the following day.
Planning:
Prepare and update project construction schedule.
Efficiently maintain all records and files in the field office.
Supervision:
Supervise and ensure that all tasks are carried out by project office staff and direct manpower.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with 6 to 10 years of related experience.
Experience with existing wastewater treatment plants and pump stations as well as construction of new facilities.
Experience with supported excavation systems and dewatering is a plus.
Experience in heavy construction (site-work, roads, or environmental).
Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail-oriented; have above-average interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment; able to accurately process written documents, perform duties in a timely manner, be highly organized, and able to interface and communicate effectively with company, clients, and field personnel at all levels.
Reports to: Regional Director
Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
