Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Pasadena, CA

Pay Rate: Up to $90K

Job Description:

Our client, a high-end fashion and apparel company located in Pasadena, is seeking a Senior Accountant with over 5 years of experience in the retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries. This role will serve as the right-hand person to the Controller and is next in line for a leadership position.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy

• Maintain and update financial records

• Generate financial reports and analysis

• Support audits and compliance activities

• Collaborate with the Controller on financial strategy and planning

• Manage inventory and costing processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• 5+ years of accounting experience in retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries

• Understanding of General Ledger processes and basic accounting principles (debits and credits)

• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports

• Inventory and costing experience

• Understanding of physical inventory (preferred but not required)

• Accounts Receivable experience, including knowledge of charge-backs and bills of lading (preferred but not required)

• Experience with Sage software (a plus)

• Mandarin language skills (strongly preferred)
