This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven accounting professional to step into a leadership role with a mission-driven organization that values work-life balance and professional growth.
Position: Fiscal Manager
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Salary Range:\$85,000 – $95,000
A well-established organization in Philadelphia is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fiscal Manager to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with strong accounting and financial management skills who is ready to step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls, and will thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and adjust annual, departmental, and program budgets in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Generate GAAP-compliant financial statements, including income and cash flow statements.
- Maintain a cost accounting system to track service delivery costs and ensure budget compliance.
- Provide timely financial insights, alerts, and recommendations based on fiscal performance and projections.
- Monitor and report on budget adherence across departments.
- Support external audits and ensure financial processes meet standards for clean audit opinions.
- Develop and oversee internal financial controls to reduce risk and ensure accurate billing.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Maintain and improve fiscal procedures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with employee benefit plans and related reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (with a focus in accounting or finance). Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis. Auditing experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Sage 100, Sage Intelligence Reporting, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania-based programs or governmental financial reporting is a plus.
Note: This is a fully onsite position based in Northeast Philadelphia. Candidates must be able to commute to the main office and other local sites as needed.
