Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Center City, Philadelphia, PA
Job Type: Hybrid | Temp-to-Permanent | Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000 annually

Overview:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a respected professional services firm in Philadelphia to find a proactive and detail-driven Staff Accountant. This hybrid role offers a temp-to-perm path and is perfect for candidates eager to expand their accounting expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Compile and prepare both internal and external financial reports.

  • Track and manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash-related transactions.

  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as payroll, accruals, and prepaids.

  • Provide support to the Payroll Manager and assist with payroll functions.

  • Oversee employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card usage.

  • Assist in processing accounts payable and ensure accurate data entry.

  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Contribute to credit, collections, and cash application efforts.

  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process.

  • Train team members on accounting systems and procedures.

  • Collaborate with the CFO on special initiatives and process enhancements.

  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Experience with accounting platforms like QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.

  • Comfortable using virtual meeting tools such as Zoom, Teams, or GoToMeeting.

  • CRM familiarity (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and accuracy.
