Job Title: Property Accountant
Location: Philadelphia, PA. Onsite with flexible hours.
Compensation: $50-$65K annually + GREAT benefits
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the financial operations of a diverse portfolio of 80 properties, including both commercial and residential units. Your strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with the property management team will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting Functions:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all properties.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Property Accounting:
- Oversee the financial management of 80 properties, ensuring accurate accounting for both commercial and residential units.
- Prepare and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Monitor and report on property cash flows, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.
- Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate rent collection and lease administration.
- Handle property tax filings and ensure timely payment of property taxes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
