We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant for a hybrid temp-to-perm opportunity in Center City. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a dynamic finance team. The position involves a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including general ledger management, audit preparation, billing, payroll, and more.

Job Title: Staff Accountant (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Center City, Philadelphia, PA


Salary:. $60- $65k
Job Type: Hybrid | Temp-to-Perm | Full-Time


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Record fixed asset activity and calculate depreciation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and audit cash transactions.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., prepaids, accruals, payroll).
  • Support and back up the Payroll Manager.
  • Manage credit card programs and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Assist with accounts payable and ensure accurate transaction entry.
  • File monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
  • Support credit, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Train new and existing staff on accounting procedures.
  • Assist CFO with special projects and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial accounting or auditing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft GP preferred.
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, GoTo).
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
