Accounting Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a construction company located in Downtown Phoenix. This company is in search of a full time accounting specialist to join their team. This job is Monday-Friday 730am-430pm. For the first 90 days, it is fully on site. After, it will move to a hybrid schedule. The salary range for this job is between $50,000-$60,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts payable, creating PO's, generating invoices and performing 3-way match

  • Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due balances.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely recording of transactions.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting processes.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Support the finance department in ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • At least two years of AP/AR experience

  • Construction industry experience is a huge plus!

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite. Advanced Excel is a must. You will be tested on this.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
