LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a construction company in Central Phoenix. This company is in search of a AP and Payroll Specialist to join their team. This position is fully onsite, Monday-Friday.
The AP/Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable and payroll processing. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting practices, payroll compliance, and experience working with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate employee and vendor records
- Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports as needed
- Assist with month-end closing and year-end processes
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate job costing and expense tracking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage and/or NetSuite is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and reporting requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
