LHH has partnered with a Marketing firm in Phoenix, AZ 85018. who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract to hire basis. As the AP Specialist, you will be responsible for various financial tasks, including 3-way matching invoices to purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full cycle accounts payable, and proficiency in using a large ERP based software as well as Excel.
Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist duties:
Invoice Processing
Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
Enter invoices into the accounting system
Payment Processing
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Issue checks and ensure timely payments to vendors
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Vendor Management
Maintain vendor records and contact information
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile vendor statements and correct billing issues
Recordkeeping & Documentation
Maintain accurate and organized AP files and records
Assist with month-end closing and reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Reconciliation & Reporting
Reconcile AP transactions and resolve account discrepancies
Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable
Support audits by providing documentation and explanations
Internal Collaboration
Communicate with procurement and receiving departments
Coordinate with other finance team members for accurate reporting
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards
Monitor and enforce company policies regarding expenses and payments
Assist in implementing process improvements and automation
This role is 100% on site in Phoenix, AZ 85018
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
