LHH has partnered with a retail trade sector in Phoenix, AZ. who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior level Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a direct hire basis. As the AP Specialist, you will be responsible for various financial tasks, including high volume 3-way matching invoices to purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full cycle accounts payable, and proficiency in using a large ERP based software as well as Excel.
Please note you must have EXCELLENT job stability and at least 5 years of RECENT Accounts Payable Experience to be considered.
Accounts Payable Job Description:
Review and record a high volume of invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
Reviews and approves all invoices and vouchers for payment
Codes and enters invoices for payment
Maintains aging
Answers all vendor inquiries
Prepares and mails AP checks
Maintains all accounts payable files
AP Vendor set ups
Handle high-volume 1099 processing.
Assist with external audits.
Assist with ad hoc project.
Ability to work with various software, our ERP and Accounting Systems including posting journal entries and importing data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field??HIGHLY preferred.
5+ years in Accounts Payable Experience working with multiple entities.
Strong understanding of General Ledger coding system and Accounts Payable processing
Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
Detail oriented
Proficient in Excel
Proficient in large accounting ERP based software (CORE, Oracle or SAP preferred)
