As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and working closely with customers to resolve any payment issues. This is a critical role that directly impacts our company's financial health and customer relationships.


Responsibilities:



  • Generate and send out accurate and timely invoices to customers.


  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances and overdue payments.


  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.


  • Communicate with customers to address inquiries and resolve payment disputes.


  • Process credit memos and adjustments when necessary.


  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing.


  • Prepare and analyze aging reports and provide insights to management.


  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.


  • Maintain and update customer records and payment information.


  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures.


Skills & Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred), High School Diploma


  • Minimum 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of


  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.).


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


  • Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.


  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing accounts receivable.
