Job Description: B2B Collections Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour
Position Type: Contract to Hire

Overview: LHH is collaborating with a client in Phoenix, AZ, to find a proactive and results-driven B2B Collections Specialist. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth, transitioning from a contract position to a permanent role based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management: Proactively manage and collect outstanding balances from business clients, ensuring timely payments and reducing delinquency rates.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts to resolve any discrepancies or issues, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue invoices and establish payment plans.
  • Payment Processing: Process and apply payments received, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment disputes, working closely with clients to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze aging reports, providing regular updates to management on collection activities and outstanding balances.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, interactions, and payment agreements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B collections or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Attributes: Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
