EMS Coder (Onsite)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008 (Relocating to 85281 area in August 2025)
Schedule: Flexible hours between 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23 – $30 per hour (DOE)
Medical Coding Certification
Minimum of 2 years experience in EMS Coding
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review and assign medical codes for EMS claims using current industry coding standards.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines.
Review and interpret patient care reports, dispatch logs, and billing documents.
Collaborate with the billing and compliance departments to ensure claim accuracy.
Resolve coding-related denials and discrepancies.
Requirements:
Certified EMS Coder (NAAC or equivalent certification required).
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on EMS coding experience.
Strong knowledge of EMS billing guidelines and compliance standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in EMS coding software and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, and later Tempe, AZ.
