HR Benefits Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a construction company near the Phoenix/Tempe border. This organization is in search of a benefits specialist to join their team on a full time basis. This job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, fully on site. The ideal candidate will be degreed, have at least 3 years of benefits and leave management experience. .
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including leave of absence (LOA), FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, and other company-provided benefits.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave inquiries, benefits programs, and eligibility.
Process, track, and ensure compliance with all leave-related documentation and policies.
Collaborate with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate leave tracking and timely processing of benefits.
Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity and other HR systems.
Assist in the open enrollment process and provide support in benefits education.
Conduct periodic audits of leave data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Stay up to date with federal and state leave regulations, and ensure the company remains in compliance with all applicable laws.
Respond to employee questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferred
3+ years of experience in HR benefits administration, with a focus on leave of absence (LOA) and employee benefits.
Hands-on experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms
Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave-related laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
