Job Posting: Human Resource Assistant: Leave Administration Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated Leave Administration Specialist for a 3+ month contract role with a confidential client. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in leave administration and experience with Kronos. The position involves managing employee leave processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and supporting employee wellness programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Process employee timecards through the time and attendance system related to leaves of absence.
Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding leave of absence.
Support the administration of leave of absence programs and policies in accordance with FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and other applicable laws.
Liaise with HR teams to stay updated on plan or policy changes and escalate issues as needed.
Process leave policies for employees on leave due to workplace injury or illness.
Coordinate activation and deactivation of employee access during leave periods.
Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; College Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
Must have Kronos experience.
Minimum of one year of progressively responsible leave administration experience.
Prefer experience supporting a high-volume customer base within a healthcare setting.
Basic knowledge of leave requirements and legal protections under FMLA, ADA, and other laws.
Basic knowledge of employee wellness programs.
Prefer Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), PHR, SPHR, or other World at Work or SHRM designation.
Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/Leave Administration is a plus.
Shift Information:
Day shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
