LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Transportation Company in Phoenix, AZ that is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to the team. This is a Full-Time Monday through Friday In-Office Position. Salary range $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience plus benefits. PTO, 401k and more!
Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator will support the company by coordinating third-party domestic and international shipment logistics, tracking and analyzing in-house fleet efficiencies, and handling clerical duties such as document management. You will communicate with brokers, track and trace trucks, and occasionally coordinate delivery pickups. This role requires adaptability as schedules can change rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in scheduling third-party transportation, data entry, shipment follow-up, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Operational Efficiency: Track, measure, and improve logistics operations efficiencies.
- Freight Bill Review: Ensure accuracy of all freight bills across databases, including QuickBooks, Operating Software, and Excel.
- Commodity Knowledge: Learn our commodity grades and collaborate effectively with the internal team and Dispatch.
- Communication: Handle email queries promptly and professionally.
- Document Management: Maintain and organize documentation in a timely manner.
- Carrier Relationships: Develop strong professional relationships with carriers, negotiate pricing, and ensure excellent service.
Desired Job Skills and Experience:
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma.
- Experience: Ideally, one to two years of logistics experience in a customer service role.
- Skills:
- Logical, analytical, and inquisitive mind.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable resolving issues via phone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with heavy use of Excel.
- 3+ years of recent logistics 3PL experience
Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
